Seteth is also the first person Byleth meets within the ruins of Garreg Mach Monastery, who was searching for thieves who have stolen from the ruins. If Byleth goes against Edelgard, signifying the start of the Silver Snow route, Seteth will serve as the retainer/advisor for Byleth for the rest of the story. In it, Seteth expresses his disgust for Byleth, but also states that Flayn's life is too important and wishes for Rhea to one day be free from the burden of her work. Should Seteth and Flayn survive the battle, they are met by Catherine, with Seteth handing her a letter to give to Rhea as they depart.
